Hi everyone, I made a post about this yesterday and I did end up deleting it bc I felt scared that she or someone else I know would see it. I don’t really care anymore now and I also have an update with how I responded and what she said back.

If you didn’t see the last post, then for context this is a friend I’ve known since grade 6. We are both in our early 20s now. We went to the same church but I’m not going anymore. Because of that and because I’m busy with my masters that I started in the fall, I don’t really see her as much anymore.

She has always been a little needy, but lately it’s getting to be a lot for me. She puts very little effort into our friendship (doesn’t answer texts, doesn’t ask to make plans) then sends me long messages like this. I’ve tried to manage it but I’m seriously starting to snap.

She has some pretty seriously health issues that have been difficult for her. I’ve been there for her through all of it as best as I can, but now I’m wondering if the health issues she has are playing a role in how she’s acting. I’m really trying to be understanding but like it really does get to a point.

I’m also dating someone who is not Christian. She obviously has a problem with it and so does everyone at the church. I seriously just don’t give a fuck anymore and I’m incredibly annoying by all of the questions she was asking me. My other friends have always thought she’s jealous of me.

I’m not really sure where I’ll go from here. She has not been a good friend to me for a while now, and she is so insanely religious I can’t even really relate to her anymore. The way she talks and what she says makes me cringe so hard. But idk, her response wasn’t defensive and she did admit she’s not reciprocating. But still, I feel angry and I don’t even know if it’s worth it anymore. I’m just venting at this point…. What would you do?

UPDATE: Losing my long term friend
