liquid screen protector is slowly cracking can i remove it

hey all, so when i first got my phone (15 pro), the apple store asked if i wanted a liquid screen protector and convinced me to do so.

it did well for awhile, though im not one to drop my phone much. fast forwards about a year, and the corners of the screen protector started to seemingly crack off. i ignored it because it was just the corner, but now its spread over more of my phone, reaching towards the middle. along with that, from areas where the screen protector is lifting it has a strange glare, and sometimes the shards come off and get into my fingers which obviously sucks.

i want this screen protector off. i’m tired of the shards in my fingers and simply how my phone looks. i’ve read that you can’t take off the screen protector depending on the kind, and truthfully im not sure what i have. this one is already chipping over areas of my screen and seems to have a lip where it could be peeled off. i also do not want to risk permanently damaging my phone. in certain areas where it’s fully cracked off i can still see the screen underneath.

just looking for advice on what to do, as im not knowledgeable on screen protectors and such. thanks!
