Arrow getting stuck in the corner

Wondering if someone's have had this issue and knows how to fix it since it's a bit inconvenient. If I happen to hold down on the right mouse button when the low battery shows the arrow will get stuck in the upper left corner of the screen. It's like its getting dragged there so if I try so relocate it, either with the external mouse or the mousepad it goes right back (Already tried removing the external mouse, didn't work as a solution). Because of this I just have to wait for the battery to die before plugging in the charger, otherwise the laptop would be unusable. Maybe I've just missed a way to restart the laptop without any use of the mouse, but that wouldn't really fix the original problem.
