Why can't dreamers asks saint to take them to the gateway and back ?

I just started reading shadow slave 600+ chapters.

Maybe i missed it or did not pay attention or simply forget. My question is why can't after the first nightmare, Saints take children from legacy clan into the gateway and back. If the Awakened can get anchored why can't the sleepers.
