Looking to Simplify My Financial Life

Hello Fellow Mutants!

I've been a fan of TMG for a few years now and I am now back to step three of the FOO (Paying off car debt, then I will be back to step 5 pretty quickly).

I was not origionally following the FOO as I wish I had, so I have some assets accumulated and they are a bit too spread out for my liking, I know there is a solution to consolidate everything, I just need to hone in on what will be best for me. Currently my finances are spread out as listed below:

Fidelity: Rollover IRA, Main Brokerage Account, HSA, Current Employer 401k

SoFi- Checking, Savings, Small Brokerage

Robinhood- Small Brokerage, Crypto

Public- Small Brokerage

BMO- Secondary Checking Account (access to a brick and mortar bank for depositing cash/getting cashiers checks when needed).

Local Credit Union- Savings Account, Credit Card (My first and only CC, can't close it or it will affect my credit. Can't do physical banking here because I moved and live 5 hours from the closest branch.).

My current thought on a solution would be to:

  1. Open Fidelity Cash Management Accounts and move my checking/savings over from SoFi.
  2. Transfer Robinhood, Public, and SoFi brokerages to main brokerage at Fidelity.
  3. Transfer Crypto @ Robinhood to Fidelity Crypto now that it's available in my state.
  4. Keep BMO and Local CU for nicessities.

I feel that this is likely my cleanest solution at this point as it would take me from having 6 different financial institutions with 13 accounts to 3 institutions with 10 accounts. But I'm not 100% sold on it yet, so I'm open to suggestions from my fellow Mutants, what is everyone else doing?
