That stalks in the darkness: Entry One

creepypasta

Well I don’t need to tell you that yesterday was tough and we know that today ain’t doing any better, suppose that is just what happens when a thing as identifiably as the sun rising doesn’t happen.

Yesterday was a blur, personally I don’t understand why. People always say that they remember the details when things unexpected happened, I mean you have those stories about Pearl Harbor and 9/11 and what was happening up until those moments. People living their lives and doing normal things, talking friends, doing paper work, hell maybe trying to flirt with a person caught their eye then things go tits up (forgive the phrase). Everything before then in great detail, burned into the forefront of their minds.

But I couldn’t tell you what I did yesterday, that’s the part that nobody tells you. I remember hearing my alarm go off and being frustrated as all living hell because it was still pitch black outside. Figured that maybe I set my alarm earlier and went to turn it off. I tapped on the phone screen and was greeted with the time, it was 8:27 in the morning.

Weirdly enough, my first instinct was to call my parents. I said weirdly enough because I could have just been an idiot in the moment, something reasonable going on and I’m just too stupid to see it. My Mom answered me on the second try and that’s when things get blurry, probably because she confirmed that indeed the sun didn’t come up.

I know I probably sound sporadic in how I’m trying to tell things but like all of you (hopefully) reading this post, I just don’t really understand anything at the moment. Perhaps my brain is trying to find something that can be solved in a matter of seconds, trying to fill that enormous gap left behind from something fundamentally natural just not happening. Maybe that is why after some disaster discoveries are made, people trying to solve for what they didn’t expect or see.

I’ll post something in an hour maybe, just need to get my thoughts straighten out. Thought I was ready but I need to address this more, maybe talk to my Mom or Dad (hopefully the lines have cleared up).
