This is the first rewatch of High Noon since my Dad made us sit through it as kids. Now, we were bratty kids, that paid no mind to the “old” movies pops would show us. We wanted movies in color with lots of explosions and that’s it. I remember nothing about it, but it is a known classic and

now that I am an adult that loves and respects all genres/eras of cinema, I wanted to give it try with today’s eyes. I really enjoyed it! It is a straight forward story with a good build up that went by super quick. I know I’m 70 years too late, but I LOVE YOU GRACE KELLY!!!

I went with the Eureka! import because while searching through the reviews, I read that it is superior to Kino Lorbers. I don’t know what was better about it, but I try to get the best available editions when adding films to my collection. This release is phenomenal though. Everything is clean and sharp, and I have no complaints about this beautiful restoration.

I’m not an audio commentary guy. But this has 4 of them! I actually gave a couple a try and they were really cool. I may give it a rewatch with one of the commentaries on. The other special features are extensive (most are ported over from earlier releases). A history on the film with interviews spanning from Bill Clinton to Grace Kelley’s son (The Prince of Monaco) are very interesting. It is also narrated by Frank Langella. This is a high recommend for anyone who loves the film, and wants to own the definitive edition.
