Moving to Florida

Hi! I previously lived in Wellington, FL for 2 years and I am now considering relocating from NYC to either Coral Springs or Coconut Creek in May. I have two young children who are autistic and have IEPs, receiving school-based services (speech, OT, and one also requires PT), so I’m especially interested in how Broward County handles out-of-state IEP transfers, how accessible therapy services are within the schools, and what ABA waitlists look like. I’ve been getting mixed feedback about moving back, so I’d really appreciate honest insight from those who currently live in the area. I’m also an LPN and will be starting an LPN-to-RN bridge program in Sunrise, so I’d love to hear from any LPNs about their experience working in the area and what the job market and work environment have been like. I’d also appreciate insight into overall experiences living in South Florida, along with childcare pricing in the area. Additionally, if there are any surrounding areas outside of Coral Springs or Coconut Creek that you would recommend, especially considering I’ll be commuting to Sunrise for school. I’d love to hear those suggestions as well. Thank you!
