Remote Connection (Rav 4 2024)

Got some questions regarding the remote Connect and Digital Key for the 2024 Rav 4 LE I purchased yesterday. Feel free to skip to my questions at the bottom, but if you want a little back story, here it is

I’ve looked ( honestly reddit has been the most helpful) and believe that my Rav 4 does not have either options

When we were in negotiations for the vehicle the salesman definitely believed that both of these were options through the Toyota app, as a remote starter here in Alberta is a must in the winter and is one of my must haves in a vehicle. I phoned Toyota Canada, they leaned towards No, that these were not options on my vehicle. The weird thing is that they were not entirely sure as I had 3 different individuals involved and trying to confirm. So again I’m pretty sure this is a no go.

QUESTIONS

1. ⁠Does my rav 4 have digi key?

2. ⁠Does my Rav 4 have remote start through the app?

3. ⁠If it has neither, my salesperson stated once we know for sure we can look at options. What percentage should I aim for them to pay for 1 or both of these options (remote starter, another key)? I am realistic that they will not pay for the whole thing. Remote start is more important to me.

4. ⁠Can just any 3rd party remote start be used with the Toyota app?

5. ⁠Just curious if anyone else has had this occur as well
