Mine shaft 12 the best to level up in every mine?

Ok so I’m new to the game but so addicted and it seems like every single mine that mineshaft 12 is always the best. Once I go higher then I still don’t get as much back as if I were to just level up 12 oppose to ALL the others. Correct me if I’m wrong more insight will help please! Thanks!
