AT LAST!!!

Today i post the last DHB Series kit i'll be covering, arguably the most "special" of all - the Cobalt Sword Special Set!

It's a boxed set containing Clear Version deco variants of Cobalt Sword and five of the Custom Parts kits that i've covered before. The functionality is all identical, but the look is fire! i'm personally very into the black and gold colour combo so this one really speaks to me. The loud neon green, orange, and red are grean accent colours too, if maybe a little too busy in a couple places.

Even though it's all the same moulds as before, the result of putting it all together is a pretty solid configuration. Basic Core and Basic Trigger since Cobalt Sword doesn't have any special features other than the horn iron sight, but you get Direct Hit Battle capability from the Sight Shield & Attack Point, increased ammo capacity from the Battle Magazine, better operation from the Battle Grip, enhanced mobility from the Roller Foot, and stabilized shooting from the Rubber Pad Trigger. Practically every hardpoint gets something installed on it except the arms, and you can replace those with the Battle Grip parts if you want. The clear magazine, body, and core even mean you can directly see how many marbles you have loaded by looking through the parts!

Alas, there's tradeoffs. Clear ABS plastic is notoriously more brittle than opaque ABS as it ages, so i have some worries about the durability of it over time. For now it shoots just fine, but the parts creak during assembly and disassembly so some day it might have to be retired as a display-only piece. Sadge. Guess i better have my fun with it while i can.

Tons more photos in high res [on the wiki](https://bdaman.fandom.com/wiki/Cobalt_Sword_Special_Set), cos this kit has a ton of parts! A bit more of my thoughts and info about the kit over [at my instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/DUy8GJvEjIZ/?img_index=1).

Seriously, go check out the wiki gallery, i took so many photos of this thing :P

After this, the only thing left for DHB is a big series wrap-up, unless i decide to cover the limited fukubako versions. Then, i escape DHB hell and dive into Zero! Cheers to all those Zero fans who have been eagerly awaiting the scans to start flowing, i guess \^\^;

Happy Valentine's, all ❤️
