Newbie! 4th painting ever. Wrexham, Wales.

Wrexham, has become my family‘s second home. So much more than the football/soccer and all the things you’ve seen on television. Bit when you get to spend time with the people of Wrexham you understand why that town is such magic.

I took up oil painting as a way of trying to re-create and capture our moments in Wrexham.

This is the first painting that I actually completed from that. I’ve done four total painting so far, but those were just a buildup to get to the point where I felt is okay to do this one.

I would appreciate any technical feedback, along with any suggestions on how to incorporate the style that I’m going for. I have been fascinated and have been following the style of Paul Kenton. I love his splash style and using thick heavy coats of the oil paint to give much more of an impressionist vibe with a thick viewpoint. Anywho, I am so super proud of this because it is of me and my daughter. When I’m long gone, my hope is that she will have this painting and the others that I plan to do from all of our trips as a way to never forget me and the love that I have for her. And UTST!!!!
