Seller wont rate me?

I recently bought an item i wasnt super pleased with and i did message them to ask about it, since it wasnt matching the description, they apologized and i let it go. When messaging i tried my best to be neutral and friendly etc and told them it was fine and thanks and said maybe i misunderstood so they didnt feel like i was attacking them etc but now they seem to be letting the rating timer go out. If they don't rate me does this mean my review just doesn't get posted? I really did try to be overly nice because ive had one instance of a seller leaving me a scathing and frankly threating review for simply questioning an item that was clearly not matching the description. I took their word for it and left them a 4 star review and they left me that terrible review. Because of that I try now to avoid confrontation when I can but even when I try stuff still seems to happen and it has deterred me from purchasing from sellers I dont know
