What should I do?

Support/Advice

I made a post a couple of months ago about a guy I had a crush on. I’ll link it below. Nothing happened after that conversation, but I kept seeing him around here and there. I never went out of my way to look for him, and I didn’t really need to because we already had so many common grounds, like the gym, uni, etc.

When the new semester started, I didn’t see him for the first couple of weeks, so I assumed he had graduated. Last week, my friend and I passed one of his friends. We had seen them hang out together around campus, so we figured they are friends. We said salam and casually asked if R had graduated. He asked for my name and which R I meant. We pretended we didn’t know him and said we were asking for a friend. He pulled up R’s recitation page, and we confirmed it was him. He told us R hadn’t graduated and that he is actually a senior. I thought it ended there.

The next day, R showed up at uni, but that is not the problem. The problem is that every time I pass by one of his friends, they give me side-eyes. It is not in a mean way, but it is obvious they are trying not to look at me.

The other day, I was sitting with my friend at the library. His friends moved from across the library to the table in front of us, and less than ten minutes later, R showed up. They started looking at me again, trying not to make it obvious. One of his friends went to the side of the library, and I could feel him watching me. He then came over and whispered something to R. R glanced at me from the corner of his eye, trying not to be obvious, but it was easy to tell.

I was not paying close attention to them, but they were a bit loud and right next to us, so it was hard not to notice. For one second, when I took off my headphones, I heard one of his friends say, “Isn’t that stalking?” after R showed them something on his phone. I did not listen to the rest because it is none of my business. I moved to a cubicle to finish my assignment. Once I finished, I sat back with my friends, and they told me that when I left, most of the guys left and the rest stopped looking at me. But once I came back, the looking and trying not to make it obvious started again.

Later that night, I was thinking about it, and now I am scared they might have been talking about me when they mentioned the stalking part, even though I have never gone out of my way for him or done anything creepy. It is just that he happens to be at the same spots I am.
