[F4GM] A new life outside the asylum

Even at a distance, I can still feel the heat of the fire against my skin. The sounds of sirens, shouting and screaming ring in my ears as I cough up a lung full of harsh black smoke. Pushing myself up into a sitting position, I turn back to take a proper look at the inferno engulfing the building behind me.

The Madhouse, as locals call it, is a high security institution set up to incarcerate those who have committed horrible crimes, but who have been deemed mentally unfit to stand trial. A prison for the insane, masquerading as a mental hospital. Its commonly known that the conditions inside are inhumane, but who is going to complain when the people inside have committed such atrocities?

It's where I have spent a long time now, so much so that the outside world is unfamiliar to me. I don't know exactly how long, and I can't even clearly remember why I was in there in the first place. Whatever it was, I'm really out now. Outside, in the fresh air and the sunlight.

The roaring flames smother the building, the result of a riot by several of the 'patients' inside. I don't know if I'm the only one who got out alive, but it's hard to imagine that anyone else will be escaping now, with the building so completely engulfed.

Slowly standing up, I look up at the sun in the sky, giggling at the way it seems to smile down at me. Catching my breath, I turn away from the fire and start to walk, feeling the ground beneath my feet. I don't know where I'm going, I don't know what to do now. All I know is I'm free. I've got a second chance.

Hey all! So, I've just given a bit of a setup here instead of outlining a plot, but I would love to chat and create an engaging plot with anybody who is interested. Essentially, I am looking for somebody to GM the world for my character, a woman with a less than stable grip on reality who has just escaped the asylum where she has spent years of her life after committing crimes which she can't remember. As for where we go from there, that's up for discussion! Does she meet people who take care of her? Does she get taken advantage of? Does she end up in a better or worse position than in the asylum? Does she commit further crimes now that she's free? I would love to discuss any ideas you may have!
