It’s time to talk about the Strategist specialty in Black Ops 7, which is clearly being sidelined by the developers. Not only does it have the weakest perks in the entire game (shoutout to Guardian, the most useless perk ever), but it also doesn’t even work for what it’s supposed to do: rewarding objective play.

Direct comparison with Black Ops 6 (in the clip I'm showing): you used to get the score bonus when you captured a point and when you recaptured it again. But now in Black Ops 7, you only get the bonus the first time you take the point, and you no longer get it when you take it back later, even when you’ve had to fight tooth and nail for it. The least the game could do is let your specialty reward you for that effort.

For reference, here’s the perk description: ‘**Earn a score bonus for objectives**.’ That means every time we see that damn star icon, the one that marks an objective, we’re supposed to get additional points, balanced appropriately (half the points, rounded up or down if needed for balancing, when the unit isn’t 5 or 0).

* Recapturing a Hardpoint: +25 bonus score
* Holding the Hardpoint: +10 bonus score
* Clearing a Domination zone: +15 bonus score
* Objective kill: +15 bonus score

Right now, the specialty is not working as it's supposed to. Such a disappointment

Strategist specialty is not working properly (and has even been secretly nerf in Hardpoint compared to BO6)
