Flying with an 8 month old - long flights, is short or longer layover better?
We’re flying to Los Angeles to Southeast Asia to visit family and baby will be 8 months at the time. It will be anywhere between 20-23 hours total travel time for us. About a 15 hour stretch and then another 5-7 depending on our layover destination.
We’re already looking into late night flights so baby can sleep the majority of the long stretch hopefully, but curious if you’d done a similar trip, did you go with shorter or longer layover.
We’ll be getting an infant seat and bringing the car seat.
And any other tips for a flight this long?
