ISO recommended recourse to reimburse PS+ after system didn't recognize auto-renewal cancellation

Question

I subscribed to PS+ last year while they were running a deal. I stopped using the service a couple months back, and left a reminder in my calendar to cancel the auto-renewal before it lapsed. On Friday the 13th, I did just that and canceled the auto-renewal. Lo and behold, I wake up on the 15th and Playstation still renewed and charged me $140 for the annual service.

Now, dealing with online support, they are claiming that "recurring payments are not the original date of purchase. We have checked the account and the original date of purchase was on: 02/10/2024 In this case it has been well past 14 days and a refund will not be possible."

I asked them if they could at least honor the $99 deal they're running for Lunar New Year, and they have abruptly ended the chat twice now after I ask that. I am hog-tied and now staring at a $140 bill for a subscription that I knowingly canceled and don't use. Any recourse that you all have found in the past? I'm about to just contest with my credit card company since Sony is being totally unsupportive.
