How can I set-up a reoccurring meeting with my former manager?
Hi all,
My company has been going through a lot of changes and reorgs the past few months.
My manager changed. Needless to say I do not like my new manager. I really liked my previous manager. She was on maternity leave and got back today.
She reached out to me about the changes and if I wanted to keep our 1-on-1 meeting. We decided to cancel but I requested if I could set up something with her to continue check-ins. She of course said sure and that she would be on the lookout for that meeting invite.
She is no longer my manager but to be honest, I really respect her and want to keep in contact — for career guidance, advice and just her general insight on the work, organization and field.
I don’t want to be too much of a burden though. I was thinking setting a quick 30 minute Teams meeting every 2-3 months. Not sure if this is too much or too little though?
**How can I set-up a reoccurring meeting with her without being too overbearing? How often/how long should this meeting be?**
Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you! 😊
TLDR: I have a new manager. I want to keep in touch with my previous manager. How can I go about this without being too overbearing?
