Etsy refund and return problem

I ordered an item from etsy, it turned up as was completely different from what I ordered.

the seller initially offered a replacement but after week told me to return it for a refund.

after some back and forth I went through etsys customer support, etsy its self has now refunded me.

do I still need to return the item to the seller?
