Patagonia (Argentina) 8-9 days
Hi all,
my partner and I will travel to Argentina in April (I know, edge of shoulder season) and plan to spend around 8-9 days in Patagonia, renting a car to get around. We had in mind to fly to El Calafate from BA and rent the car there + start the roundtrip. Oneway car rental is unfortunately by far too pricey. Our main activity will be day-hiking (no camping) and enjoying the nature.

Do you think the the 8-9 days will be fine to get a decent bunch of activities down there done?
-
Should we consider going to Chile for some spots/hikes? Originally we were not planning this, due to the struggles with permit for the rental car, etc.
-
Is El Calafate a good spot to start or should we reconsider?
Many thanks for your valuable feedback!
