motion sickness and cyber sickness (while travelling*) advice

idk if this is the right place to ask but, how do you guys deal with motion sickness and cyber sickness during long rides and bumpy roads?

I've heard about those ear patches, but I've also heard that they make you drowsy and mess your vision temporarily, I've tried pills, I've tried changing positions in rides, I've tried to not use my phone and just shut it off but just looking at it's blank screen gives me headaches and nausea.
