Chicken at a baby painter turtle. Do I need to be worried?

I read online that turtles can give salmonella to chickens & just to watch. But now I'm worried about eating it's eggs or if I'm over reacting? I'm newer to owning birds so still learning!

We live in the Midwest & the snow has been melting today. I'm wondering if this turtle has been dead but preserved under the snow as this would be an odd time for it to hatch.
