Deleted files still showing up in Messages gallery

Hello all, recently I have been having an issue where my deleted items are still showing up in my gallery when I go to send an image through Google messages. I have deleted said files from my device Gallery, google photos and both trash folders, however the issue persists. I have a Samsung S25 and use Google Photos as my primary Gallery app. Any advice is appreciated!
