Treats for a gobbler

So... my boy is nearly 8 months old, and he WOOFS down food. I have a maze bowl, and that seems to help. However, treats are another story. I have tried round treats and flat jerky treats (thought he was gonna choke on those). Any suggestions on what your dogs are getting?
