Morals of the air force

I want to be a fighter pilot in the air force. I was watching the marines documentary on netflix while chugging my 6 eggs. I noticed that a lot of the marines seemed really really enthusiastic about killing people. Are air force fighter pilots like that? Whenever I think about killing people and dropping bombs to create destruction I really feel concerned. It feels like thinking about it goes against everything that I have ever been raised to do . My question is- Is this normal? Is it normal to want to be a fighter pilot but being a little bit weary about the destruction and harm that is caused? has anyone else experienced this and had a good life as a fighter pilot? Are fighter pilots exactly like the marines in the marine documentary?
