4 channel mixing control: a pair of X1 or Xone K2/3? Would you buy into Traktor ecosystem in 2026?

I'm working out my next kit build for DJing. I primarily play techno (Berlin and Detroit stuff), but love playing UK grime / rap and 2-step / garage and even a cheeky meringue set, but my primary concern is a techno kit

The heart of my gear is a Xone:96

I'm perhaps picking up an old set of CDJ Nexus 2000 mk1. I'm leaning more towards running a pair of NI X1 controllers instead, or a pair of Xone K2 / K3. I'm fine not having jog wheels and can nudge to beat match. If I pick up the CDJs I'll still likely get an X1 or K2/3 or something like that for deck C / D or whatever. I'd love to hear what you guys think about controller options for running 4 decks that lend themselves to things like looping and long blends. Would you get a pair of K2s or 3s? A pair of X1s to unlock Traktor? One of each? Something different?

I'm hoping you lot can help me decide on a few things:

1. Is buying into Traktor optimized gear really dumb given the bankruptcy stuff? I know everything is up in the air right now, but in my shoes would you even be considering something like an X1? I know this has been discussed a lot in this sub so feel free to link me somewhere I might have missed by searching.
2. If you were building out a DJ hardware system like this, would you choose Traktor as the software? I used Traktor for years, but switched over to Rekordbox a few years ago and haven't been following Traktor updates or the general consensus around the software. I don't love Pioneer or Rekordbox and without hardware unlock the monthy fees add up. I'm open to suggestion for any software that runs 4 decks and plays nice with with a xone mixer and controllers, and suggestion for other bits of kit to complement that
3. I'd love to hear how well Traktor handles an external midi device running the internal midi clock. I'll add a drum machine at some point (sooner if I choose controllers rather than CDJs), a unit like the Digitakt or maybe a Roland TR-08 or something

So yea, thoughts on a pair of NI X1 in 2026? Thoughts on buying into a Traktor centred setup in 2026? Thoughts on a pair of X1 vs a pair of A&H Xone K2 / K3?
