ICCA Selection Event Help

Hi everyone, I’ve got an ICCA selection event coming up in a few days and was hoping to get some insight from anyone who has been through it before.

Firstly, I’m trying to gauge what kind of interview questions to prepare for. I’ve covered the obvious ones: why the Bar, what area of law I’m interested in, why ICCA, challenges facing the Bar, and a potential ethics scenario. For those who’ve done it, did you find that covered most of the bases, or were there any other specific themes or question types that came up which I should prepare for?

Secondly, I understand there’s a case exercise involved. I’d really appreciate any clarification on what this is actually like. Is it similar to a mooting-style problem where you’re given a scenario and asked to make submissions? Or is it more of an advisory/legal analysis exercise? How much preparation time do you typically get? Is it similar to the Inner Temple bar course scholarship case study for instance?

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
