I’ve been building an app called Prism for Apple devices. The public TestFlight beta has been live since early January, and it has grown way beyond what I originally thought it would be.

The whole point is one native app that pulls everything together: discovery + watch tracking + your personal server library + trailers + playback. Fast UI, no web wrapper feel, and a ton of customization.

**What Prism does**

* **Emby integration**: connect one or multiple servers. Prism can show an “in your server” badge on posters, and you can filter throughout the app to only show items you own on your server.
* **Stremio** Integration: Full support for all your Stremio add-ons, giving you three ways to watch media (Emby, Stremio, and the "Where to Watch" section within a movie or show, which takes you directly to the available streaming service after clicking).
* Server-aware browsing: you can build shelves that are “server only,” filter lists to “only titles in my library,” and generally always know what’s actually in your collection.
* **Built-in player + external players**: multi-audio tracks, multi-sub tracks, external subtitle support, subtitle customization, auto-resume, and auto-play next episode. You can also launch into Infuse/VidHub/VLC/etc. (and choose to use internal or external players depending on whether it's a show or movie). The one thing it does not support is Dolby Atmos (licensing and player limitation, just being upfront).
* Streams are flexible: stream sorting, optional autoplay so you do not have to pick every time, and you can choose internal player vs external player globally or per-title.
* **Trailers** built in: instant trailers right inside each movie/show page.
* **Downloads** (iPhone/iPad/Mac): offline downloads grouped by show, plus a modern downloads UI.
* **Trakt** integration: history, progress, watchlist, and more.
* Custom shelves: unlimited rows filtered by genre, year, rating, cast, language, etc.
* Metadata options: **TVDB, AniList, MDblist, Letterboxd** support for better ratings and better season accuracy (especially for anime and weird season structures).
* Content restrictions: filter by ratings/genres for a cleaner, family-friendly setup.
* **iCloud sync:** settings sync across iPhone/iPad/Mac.
* **Import/export** sharing: one-click export/import so you can share your setup with friends or move devices easily.
* **Localized in 10 languages** across the whole app.
* **AI search** (optional): fixes typos and understands natural-language queries when normal search comes up short.
* Apple TV support is coming shortly (within the next week or so) with full built-in multi-profile support, so every family member can have completely separate history, Trakt account, and iCloud-synced settings.

**How to try it**

It’s a free public TestFlight. I’m using Discord for onboarding/support because anonymous TestFlight feedback isn't a great way to help people with setup questions (I learned this the hard way during my first round of beta testing and feedback). There is also a built-in FAQ in the app, just in case!

I built a native Apple media hub that integrates Emby (plus Stremio add-ons, Trakt, trailers, downloads). Free public TestFlight.
