How long for canceled order trade-in (RMA) to drop from system?

Context: I placed a store pick-up order for a Pixel 10 as an upgrade and was trading in an older iPhone for monthly bill credits. When the store rep processed the trade-in, something went wrong where the accepted $800 off offer was cancelled and the new offer for $0 was applied. The rep nor I didn't see it until the receipt was printed. The rep then canceled the order and I left with my iPhone (no new phone), but it's been 4 days and the IMEI of the iPhone still cannot be used to place another order with the system response: "A trade in has been initiated for this IMEI. Please check the 15-digit number and try again."

When will the system clear this IMEI for being used in another trade-in deal?

Is this a special case because the trade-in offer was technically accepted when the rep processed it for $0?

Any specific group I can reach out to for assistance? 611 can see the RMA but cannot cancel it.
