Training a new Dom as a sub??

Hey y’all! I am sub-leaning woman and I am really craving some kink in my next relationship. I am ethically non-monogamous.

I started dating someone new.. well, scratch that. I’ve gone on a first date with someone 😂 He is recently divorced. Has no experience in kink or D/S dynamics. But on our date, I felt incredibly aroused by his presence, directness, and curiosity about me. He is a bit on the more serious side whereas I am

a bit more bubbly and goofy. I started fantasizing about him being bolder and rougher and telling me what to do… but obviously I do not know if any of this is his thing. He seems to be an open-minded person. But again, very little kink experience.

I have no idea how to broach this with him. I don’t think I’d be interested in dating him unless this was a thing he sincerely wanted to explore with me. We kissed and he wasn’t very aggressive in the kiss which was disappointing.

Has anyone started dating someone new and broached the topic of exploring a D/S dynamic from the get-go? I have tried using kink friendly apps (Feeld) and going on the personals reddit to find a Dom (I’ve been in D/S dynamics before) but I haven’t had much luck since my last dynamic ended 6 months ago.
