Never had a relationship before I NEED HELP

I'm a 20 year old woman who started a new job about 6 months ago. When I started I met a guy, who was genuinely one of the most attractive and one of the most open and extroverted people I ever met. He was the one who showed me around and turned out to be a genuinely kind and good soul. We connected pretty fast because of similar interests in Games, Anime and Music. But sadly we were not able to talk a lot lately, which is why we're not too close. Yet every time we talk we have good conversations that turn into deep talk and just intense Nerdy yap sessions. Thing now is that he connected with a friend of mine because both of them go to the Gym a lot (I never went to the Gym they go to, so I did not invite myself in). Pretty fast they started working out together and bonded a lot.

In their last work out said friend told him that my friend and I will meet up, so he asked her if she minds him joining the two of us. So yesterday (valentines day) he joined the two of us, but almost the entire conversation was a two people conversation between said guy and me, while my friend was smiling the entire time. A small meet up turned into us watching a cute movie together and having (deep) talks until 7am. In those conversations he learned about one of my terrible dating fails in life. Kater he started telling me it's super rare that he finds people attractive and that some months ago he wasted lots of time on a girl that seemed to not be interested in him. When he showed me a picture of her I noticed some similarities in looks between her and me. That was followed by him showing me a Video of a guy and asked me if I thought that man was attractive (which he was yes). He then ended the night with sharing that he is into women that have some specific features (look-wise). Those were pretty simple descriptions (skin-, eye- and hair-colour) but all of them matched my looks.

Today I was asked to join them in the Gym. When I did he was the most supportive Person and complimented my 'progress' the entire time.

We hugged Goodbye and texted each other thank you for the last two days.

Now I'm confused. Is he just being nice or is he hinting at something??
