Am I just too ugly?
It seems like every time I try to get to know someone in a romantic context, they reject me. Even people I match with on dating apps. I just don’t think people find me all that attractive, because of how little grace I get in terms of dating. I know for a fact that it might just be my “self-image” from being bullied as a kid for being overweight and ugly, but then again I feel like I would’ve been in at least one relationship by now if I looked good enough now in people’s eyes.
And it especially baffles me when I see people that I think are objectively a lot worse looking than me in relationships with people I would find attractive. Because what are they doing that I’m not doing right? That isn’t meant as a resentful comment. I’m just genuinely curious as to what I’m doing wrong. It seems like the only women who have been truly interested in may have been the exact opposite of what I’m attracted to (overweight, rural, lazy style, unattractive features), and I don’t have particularly high standards for appearance or anything.
Do you have any advice for me?
