I have gum damage from nicotine pouches.
Alright so obviously I'm underage (almost 18) and my parents are dentists. I have to go to another destist for a check to have a surgery to remove a few teeth for Invisalign. My parents WILL be present. I've been using nicotine pouches (velo) for the past year or so and I have somewhat visible scarring. My gums used to be literally white because of lack of circulation. Thankfully this last month I've cut back by vaping, which I know isn't great but helped with the gum damage. I'm lowering my nicotine intake progressively and I hope to quit by the end of this month and it's been a while since my last nicotine pouch. Problem is, my gums still have visible damage although it's slowly healing. I'm scared of my parents finding out. I can't really find a good excuse. I know I've put myself in this situation and that this is all my fault, but I'd rather avoid an argument with my parents. Thank you.
