Action 6 x Surfing (Quick release)

Hey guys!

Got few days ago a Action 6 a few days ago and I want to give it a try on surfing, however I don't know how reliable is the magnetic quick release. Is it safe to use while surfing? I'll add a floaty always, but wanted to know how safe can be the quick release.

Any tips for surfing are also appreciated!
