Is Fear worth watching?

I’m a huge fan of the flagship show and have wondered if Fear holds up on its own?

I watched the first season and enjoyed how they started the outbreak but once they were all quarantined I got covid flashbacks and just turned it off. I also didn’t like the mom’s character that much..

Am I wrong? Should I give it another go? Who’s the best characters? I see Morgan shows up eventually, which version is he; pacifist or insane?
