Rent Is Already Too High. Brokers Make It 10x Worse 😓

Discussion :table_flip:

Honestly, I’m just tired.

Rent in this city is already insane.

And on top of that, every decent place comes with a broker asking for one month’s rent like it’s nothing.

I’m not even looking for luxury — just a clean, decent place to live.

But the process is exhausting:

•	Same listings everywhere

•	Brokers showing the same flat to 10 people

•	No negotiation

•	Pay first, ask questions later

By the time you find something okay, you’ve already spent:

•	Huge deposit

•	Broker fee

•	Advance rent

For someone with a normal job, this hits really hard.

It genuinely feels like the system is designed to squeeze tenants.

Why is it so difficult to find a good place without dealing with brokers?

Why isn’t there a simple, transparent way to connect directly with owners?

Curious if others feel the same or if I’m just unlucky.

How bad has your renting experience been?
