Case Resolved -- Memo line dropped on Xfer (my fault). Many Thanks

Discussion :Discussion:

I had inadvertently dropped/didn't see the scroll down to pick up a memo identifier on a crypto deposit into my Gemini. The crypto went to the general address but didn't credit into my account. The intended transfer was from my self-custody hardware wallet (an approved address), and back to the CEX/Gemini. So, I read up on my own brainfart, and I was likely stuck, crypto gone. Or was it...

So, I filed a customer service notice anyway thinking there was still a chance to recover. Yes, the response time was a few months, but we were able to verify what I intended to do. After a couple of verification pathway steps, the case was escalated to the treasury/controller side and they deposited my tokens.

One tip to anyone that screws the pooch and forgets about an alt that has an additional memo line/identifier. Get the hash ID from the blockchain. This only took me a about a half minute on a google search. But, once we had that, then it was relatively easy to verify my tokens and addresses.

Customer service actually did a great job here. Many Thanks. I realize the complaint backlog and international trouble with many countries just getting shut down on Gemini. But for me, Gemini has been a reputable and competitive CEX. Plan to continue using. Thanks again.
