HELP!!

My friend and I have made it to El Calafate (we are doing El Chalten as well) however we were wanting to go upwards through Chile, but have found out most buses go down towards Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales etc. We were wondering if anyone had been upwards through Chile (into Coyhaique for example) and how they did it because the only way we can find is flying which is SOOOOO expensive. HELP PLEASE!!
