# its kalista mid with hail of blades and collector start: [proof](https://op.gg/lol/summoners/euw/M0RE%20PRESSURE-EUW?queue_type=SOLORANKED).

Also a quick highlight to understand how you're supposed to take down the threats for yourself before doing anything to ensure a victory. Spoiler alert you still fall off in late game, you just have way more control over the game here.

**ranting: Adc kalista feels completly pathetic.**

* *Flipping for a good supp as you would for any adc is fine but for early mid game champs such as kalista its slightly worse.*
* *Win lane get outscaled even harder than before due to crit being too strong*
* *Even with zonyas, terminus and regular on-hit, you get beat by regular adcs*
* *On equal gold enemy adcs are now your biggest counters because they os you before you even reach them or are near killing them.*
* *Kalista does nothing more than before with 6 items*

**Why kalista mid works:**

* *Hail of blades q max, allow quick wave clears, suprising poke dmg.*
* *At level 7 with a pickaxe you one tap the wave with a q allowing free roaming.*
* *Your R saves/disengages/reengages the early fights making it completly broken early on.*
* *Kalista is a stomping champion that relies on a mate, all of the above fits kalista's play style.*
* *matchups to avoid or cry: Akshan (unplayable if equal in skill, beats you 1v1, outroams you), Taliyah & Vex are hard lanes but you can still farm freely. Soft counter is malz as he clears the wave and has no interaction then just presses r on u.*
* *Turbo ez matchups: Yone, Yasuo and Katarina*
* *Flip matchups: Any mages.*

**Why Ap Kalista sucks:**

* *it doesn't deal more dmg, you loose all the great item passives from the onhits and adc builds.*
* *You still deal ad dmg with your e so theres no justification going AP even into Rammus AND Malphite*

**Why On-hit Kalista is Akward and situational:**

* *ADCs will kill you before you reach them. Therfore you're giving too much room for a lost teamfight.*
* *On-hit is strong into melee champions/low dmg ranged champions since you have a nice a amount of kiting potential and surivability.*

**Why crit Kalista works (in midlane, didnt try in adc):**

* **You can flash on squishy threatning targets just like in the clip and have an earlier spike of dmg than you would with classic on-hit.**
