Former colleagues after a layoff

question

I was laid off last year. I didn’t post on LinkedIn but I think my boss announced my layoff. A lot of people I worked with reached out, 16 people. Though a fair number didn’t reach out either. 6 people preemptively offered references and 2 other people even venmoed a goodbye gift. I reached out to 1 of the 2 people I knew who also got laid off.

I ran into someone who was laid off then too recently and she told me nobody on her team reached out. I think a few other people at the company reached out though.

How many people reached out when you were laid off? I’m kind of surprised because I’m very introverted and this woman is very extroverted. I was stuck on the people who didn’t reach out, but maybe my support is average to above average. We did both lament how our bosses didn’t reach out to offer a reference (though I understand it might be a liability thing).
