referrals slowing - support/advice welcome

I am relatively new to full time private practice. Things have been going well. Referrals slowed last summer, then around the holiday, and now again this month. I just had a longer term client leave and this was the tipping point for me worrying. I have another source of income thankfully. When I mention it to people I know in private practice I hear that we have slow seasons and it will pick back up but it's starting to feel like slow season is every other month. I am advertising but surely could be doing more there. I am just seeking the wisdom of those who have walked me before to prevent the worry to panic pipeline. HALLLPP!!
