NYLS Question
This is my second time through the admissions cycle (same stats bc I couldn’t get my lsat any higher) but am grateful since last cycle I applied with no direction or career focuses.
This cycle, I’m highly motivated to go to law school in NYC because I have the ultimate career goal of working in fashion. I got an unconditional scholarship to NYLS and am still waiting on Brooklyn and St. John’s (last cycle st John’s waitlisted me so unsure how that will go.
If I get into the other 2 New York schools and can only comfortably afford NYLS (right now I’d be able to go to school almost for free), would it really be that bad to go to a lower ranked school if I’m avoiding insane amounts of debt and will ultimately work in NYC anyways? Biglaw is far from my goal. I’m more leaning towards mid-size firm placement and in-house work with the ultimate goal to be working in fashion or fashion adjacent roles.
Thank you for any advice and input and please don’t tell me to R&R bc I did and here I am again so lol
