Why is 2v8 such a mess?

It feels like every game is filled with bots. Half the survivors don’t even play. They’re either literally AFK or they just run around pointing at stuff. Like are these bot accounts meant to fill lobbies? Are people queuing up and going out to dinner? Do people really have fun just running in circles and pointing until the game is over? Like what is going on man
