Bloodied of yeasteryear?

Sooooo, ever since the “fix” to Reflex, my bloody build is nearly unusable. I would love to cast curses and sludge through the mire and muck to disrespect any and all who helped make those changes…

How does one survive a bloodied build? How was it done before Reflex came and passed?
