Note-Taking tips?

I’m a college student and i’m struggling with formatting my notes effectively and taking them in class. Majority of my classes are Psychology/Child development/history type classes, so very content heavy. I always take them by hand and have a bunch of highlighters but i’m struggling to format them in a consistent way that makes them quick to write during lecture and easy to review afterwards, i don’t want to just copy down the slideshow. Please provide photos of your notebooks if you have any, thank you!!
