Do people who are considered magnetic also attract others on the opposite end of polarity?
Hello!
I’m writing today because I have recently been dealing with some people who only seek to bring me down. I transferred to a new college this semester and joined a fraternity, built a network of friends, and grounded myself in a new environment. In doing so, I have also attracted people on the opposite end of the spectrum who SEVERELY dislike me. So then I got to thinking, if my personality is considered magnetic does that also attract the attention of people on the opposite end of my pull.
I have been often described as confident, charming, or a social butterfly. In the beginning of the year I was meeting 2-3 new people a day. But what accompanied that was those that didn’t like me. Various people like, one guy who didn’t like me because I said I probably speak to just as many if not more new people in a day than him. Another, asked me for clarity on a situation and after I gave my honest opinion; she asked me to ask the other girl in the situation. I said maybe and went about my next two days and didn’t ask her. Later receiving a message saying the original girl made her decision to cut the other off. I responded and said, “I thought you may come to that conclusion” she did not like that.
So this makes me think, if magnetism is a trait in people. Does the magnet also attract haters?
Thanks in advance.
