Looking for more like the first Woods of Ypres album, Against the Seasons

Afternoon y'all,

I absolutely fell in love with this album years ago, and there still really isn't much like it that I've found. That mix of mid-tempo black metal and slower gothic segments is really satisfying, and I love the tasteful use of clean vocals. Beyond that, there are some minor details that just make it special...

- The mix feels like a blanket, wrapping around without being overwhelming or too loud

- The vocals are well enunciated, so the lyrics are fairly clear.

- The lyrical writing is actually good, something I don't see much outside of atmo-black.

- The songs are long, but don't overstay.

I certainly enjoy the other Woods albums, but they dropped the black metal portions really quickly after this record. I love doom, but black metal is always my main thing. Looking for black/doom with some cleans, good riffs, good writing. I'll listen to whatever you've got.

Thank you!
