Finally admitting Burnout after 20~ years in Web Production/Digital Comms, what's next?!
Does anyone else find it so hard to actually admit burnout? I'm finally able to admit that I'm so sick to death of my career. I am fighting the guilt - HARD.
It's. "good" job, that pays well, secure (enough), desk job... etc... but if I have to make one more news update about some dumb event at the Uni I work at - or explain how to insert a picture in WordPress I think I will cry.
I've been working for 20 years in various web content/digital media roles - all kind of nebulous neither a graphic designer nor a web developer. I'm terrible at project management and that's kind of where I've landed now. It's torturous, trying to do something know it's the skills that are the hardest for me.
I'm on a contract that ends in September and I want NOTHING MORE TO HAVE A BREAK. I'm so scared to do that - let alone admit it
In this job economy? I have a small amount of money saved up that could carry me for a few months...
I'm working with an ADHD-Therapist on trying to find a career path that works better with my skills - and... I'm finding it hard to think of a single thing I could pursue. :(
Any other midlife, late diagnosed ladies feeling lost as shiiiiiiiieeet?
