I don't get why some people whine about AI "taking all our RAM"

Of course, it is valid to be a bit frustrated by RAM prices going up or feel like AI isn't worth said increase in price, but others take this to an extent where they whine about how RAM is unaffordable or how the mean old AI took their precious RAM out of their hands. Putting aside the fact that this is natural supply-and-demand and that this doesn't make AI some malevolent force that needs to be wiped off the face of the earth, there are people who act like the RAM they so "desperately need" is completely unaffordable; I don't know what these people are doing that makes them need so much RAM, but it's not like we're in some kind of RAM famine (RAMine?) because of AI; there's still plenty of RAM left to go around that's not impossible to afford, and I have not noticed any serious problems any of my devices or software are facing since the AI boom started. Obviously I'm not representative of the entire world and others might have different needs, but I really don't see why antis are freaking out over RAM like their devices are all going to die if AI continues to exist; I just don't see why they're so upset over it.
